Setting 8 limit values:
Pitch IfLinear” is selected as the axis type and “Rotational” is parameterized as the sensor type,
this field can be used to enter the pitch in order to perform a conversion between the sensor
revolutions and the distance traveled [mm/revolution].
Proximity choice Enables the selection of proximity sensors with the choice of PNP, NPN, normally open con-
tact (NO) or normally closed contact (NC), and with 3 or 4 wires. Selection options:

Measurement Encoder
Resolution
In this field, enter the number of pulses/revolution (in the case of a rotary sensor) or
μm/pulse (in the case of a linear sensor) based on the sensor used. This encoder is used
for the speed threshold values.
Verification Proximity Res-
olution
In this field, enter the number of pulses/revolution (in the case of a rotary sensor) or
μm/pulse (in the case of a linear sensor) based on the sensor used.

NOTE:
In order to achieve performance level PL e, proximity switches of type “PNP NO” should
be used.
