Addressing the extension
modules
Inputs “ADR0” and “ADR1” are used to assign a unique address to the extension modules
in accordance with the following table:
This means that a maximum of four modules of the same type can be used within a system.
– If just one module of a particular type is used within a system, it is recommended that
you select address 0, i.e., terminal points “ADR0” and “ADR1” will not be connected.
Additional modules of the same type will be connected as indicated in the table. The
modules must be addressed accordingly in the PSRmodular Software.
– The same physical address must not be used on two modules of the same type.
– Single-encoder and two-encoder modules are classed as modules of the same type;
they must therefore be assigned different addresses.
– In order to be used, the extension modules must be addressed when they are installed.
Enable signals ENABLE
The PSR-M-B1 base module has two “ENABLE INPUT” inputs (“EN1” and “EN2”), which
must be supplied with 24 V DC on a continuous basis in order to operate.
These inputs can be passivated to deactivate the PSR-M-B1 base module.
Safe digital inputs The safe digital inputs are used to connect safe sensors or control devices.
Observe the technical data of the safety modules.
Address ADR0 (terminal block 2) ADR1 (terminal block 3)
Address 0 0 (or not connected) 0 (or not connected)
Address 1 24 V DC 0 (or not connected)
Address 2 0 (or not connected) 24 V DC
Address 3 24 V DC 24 V DC
