Output Test Enables the selection of a clock signal that is to be transmitted to the safety equipment.
These additional diagnostics enable the detection of short circuits and cross-circuits be-
tween the cables. To activate these diagnostics, the clock signals must be configured in the
“Property” window of the relevant function block. Furthermore, a function test of the electro-
sensitive protective equipment is performed by means of a plausibility check with the “I
N”
signal.
StartUp Test If this option is selected, a function test of the safety equipment is required before the en-
able. This test requires the protective field to be entered and exited in order to activate the
“O
UT” output. This check is only required on machine startup.
Filter (ms) This option enables external input signals to be filtered. The filter can be configured with a
value between 3 and 250 ms and helps suppress contact chatter. The length of the filter time
affects the calculation of the response time of the safety function.
Enable Error Out When this parameter is selected, an output (“E
RROR”) is made available which signals that
an error has been detected by the function block.
Item Description A 24-character text description of the function or the name can be entered here. The text is
displayed above the function block.
5.1.2.10 TWO-HAND function block (two-hand operation)
The “TWO-HAND” function block checks the status of the “I
N” inputs of a two-hand control
device. When both buttons are pressed simultaneously (within a maximum of 500 ms), the
“O
UT” output is set to logic “1” until one of the buttons is released. Otherwise, the output re-
mains at logic “0”.

The response time of the light grid must be > 2 ms and < 20 ms.
