External K time monitoring When this option is selected, it is possible to specify the time frame during which the exter-
nal feedback signal will be monitored.
– When the outputs change to the logic “1” status, the feedback signal (“FBK_RST”) must
change from logic “1” to logic “0” (and vice versa) within the specified time.
– In the event of an error (e.g., no signal change), the outputs are set to logic “0” and the
error is indicated on the base module by the flashing EDM LED (PSR-M-B1) for the out-
put.
Enable Error Out When this parameter is selected, an output (“E
RROR”) is made available which signals that
an error has been detected by the function block.

5.1.1.2 SINGLE/DUAL-OUTPUT function block (safe outputs)
The safety-related output is implemented as a digital semiconductor output. Output “O
UT 1”
of the function block supplies a logic “1” signal when terminal point “I
N” is controlled to logic
“1”. When input signal “I
N” is controlled to logic “0”, the output changes to logic “0”.
The “E
RROR” signal is reset in the following cases:
– System switch off and switch on
– Activation of the “RESET” operator (system reset; PSR-M-B1, PSR-M-B2)
NOTE:
This block can only be used in conjunction with the PSR-M-B2 base module as well as the
PSR-M-EF1 and PSR-M-EF5 extension modules.
Each “SINGLE/DUAL-OUTPUT” safe function block has a corresponding “FBK_RST” in-
put. This input only appears when Manual Reset or External K time monitoring is activated
externally.
