The guard locking device used in the example remains in the locked position if the electro-
magnet is not energized, which is why the “Interlock Spring” option must be selected.

In the example illustration, observe the circuit diagram (left) and the parameters (right) of
the “GUARD-LOCKING” operator. The feedback of the guard locking pin position request
consists of two contacts: a N/C contact and a N/O contact. If the electromagnet of the
guard locking device is energized, both contacts change status.
