4.2.18 System test
The example below illustrates the test steps:

Test step 1 Under normal operating conditions (“GUARD-MONITORING” movable guard, input “In 1”
closed, input “In 2” open), logic “1” is present at the output of the “GUARD-MONITORING”
function block, which means that the connected actuators are also supplied with 24 V DC at
safe output “Out 1”.
Test step 2 If the movable guard is opened, this changes the state of the inputs and therefore the state
of the outputs of the “GUARD-MONITORING” function block: the state of the safe output
changes from 24 V DC to 0 V DC. If this change is detected, the “GUARD-MONITORING”
movable guard is connected correctly.

NOTE:
Validate the project after sending the configuration to the base module by checking that
all connected sensors and actuators are working properly.
To do this, perform a full function test and error simulation in accordance with EN ISO
13849-2.
