Meaning of the simulator
icons
The user can start simulation mode by selecting the “Simulation” icon. One or more
static signals can be generated at the block to test the functionality of the circuit diagram.
Furthermore, the signal sequences can be displayed dynamically to simulate complex pro-
cesses.
The user can activate an advanced simulation mode by selecting the “Managing dynamic
simulation” icon. Complex signal characteristics can be simulated and displayed via a
generated time diagram
.

Simulation Click the icon to start the Simulation.
The Simulation allows the signal characteristic at the output of various function blocks to be
checked/controlled in real time.
The color of the signal lines and buttons at the function blocks indicates their status: green
represents logic “1”, red represents logic “0”.
NOTE:
The simulator tool is simply intended to aid planning when designing the safety func-
tion.
The result of the safety function must always be verified, both from a hardware and
software perspective, in a real situation and in accordance with the applicable regu-
lations, for example EN ISO 13849-2: Validation or EN IEC 62061: Chapter 8 – Vali-
dation of the safety-related electrical control system.
The safety-related parameters can be found in the PSRmodular Software report.
The two simulator icons are only available in the tool bar when the base module is discon-
nected.
