5.4.3 GUARD-LOCKING operator
1
The “GUARD-LOCKING” operator is designed to monitor an electromechanical guard lock-
ing device in various application scenarios.
The user demands the activation of the guard locking device via the “U
NLOCK_CMD” signal
input, at which the “L
OCKOUToutput is controlled. The function block checks the plausibility
of the signals between the interlocking device (“G
ATE”), the feedback of the guard locking
pin (“L
OCK_FBK”), and the control command “UNLOCK_CMD”. The “OUT output is logic “1” if
the safety door is closed and locked correctly.

Inputs/outputs
Input “L
OCK_FBK The input is used to detect the position of the guard locking pin. The
coil of the electromagnetic guard locking device is controlled via the
“L
OCKOUT” output.
The position of the guard locking pin is detected externally via signal
K1 (11-12) using the “LOCK FEEDBACK” function block and is ap-
plied to the “L
OCK_FBK” input.
Provided the guard locking pin is in the locked position, the
“LOCK_FBK” signal is logic “1”.
