5.6.1.3 RESET (PSR-M-B1, PSR-M-B2)
This operator generates a system reset if a double OFF-ON-OFF transition occurs at the
corresponding input with a duration of less than 5 s.

5.6.1.4 EDM
1
The EDM function block enables the monitoring of an EDM feedback signal to control a
safety output using any input. The EDM parameter can be used to enter the time window in
which the external feedback signal is to be monitored in comparison with the state of the
connected output.
The function block output can only be connected to a safety output (SINGLE/DUAL-OUT-
PUT, RELAY). The “External K delay” parameter must be deactivated at the function block
of the controlled output.
If the connected output is at logic “1”, the “F
BK_K” signal must be at logic “0” within the set
time and vice versa. Otherwise, the output changes to logic “0”, and the malfunction is indi-
cated by the flashing LED at the corresponding output.

t < 5 s

If the time is > 5 s, no reset is triggered.
The “RESET” operator can be used to acknowledge error states without having to in-
terrupt the system power supply.
