Figure 5-79 Parameters for the “Window comparator” option
When the “Window comparator” option is selected, values need to be selected for the “High
threshold”, “Low threshold”, and “Hysteresis” parameters.
The logic value output with output “O
UT1” depends on the value of the active measurement:
Logic “1” for measured values within the permissible range
Logic “0” for measured values outside the permissible range
In addition, the entered “Hysteresis” must be in the range from 0.1 ... 6550.0 [...].
The “Hysteresis” relates to the “Low threshold” and “High threshold” parameters.
Assuming a measured value characteristic starts below the “Low threshold”, switch on
(“O
UT1” = “1”) occurs at the parameterized value for the “Low threshold”.
If the characteristic later reaches the “High threshold”, switch off (“O
UT1” = “0”) occurs at a
measured value > the parameterized value for the “High threshold”.
Subsequent switch on (“OUT1” = 1”) then only occurs when the parameterized value for the
“High threshold” - “Hysteresis” is reached.
Subsequent switch off (“O
UT1” = “0”) then only occurs on an underrange of the parameter-
ized “Low threshold” - “Hysteresis”.
