Play” starts the simulation.
Pause” pauses the simulation.
Single step” makes it easier to track the status change.
Time” indicates the elapsed simulation time.
Time factor” allows the user to make a selection.
Restart” resets the simulation time to 0 ms.
Step” allows the user to select a time unit.
The relevant “O
UT” status can be activated by clicking the button in the bottom right corner
of every function block, even if the simulation is not activated, i.e., if the time is not running:
in this case the simulation is “static”. If the button turns red after clicking it, this means that
the output is carrying a logic “0” signal. If the button turns green, the output is carrying a logic
“1” signal.
The button appears gray in some function blocks (such as in PLAUSIBILITY CHECK or
function blocks for speed control). This indicates that the value is entered manually via a
corresponding pop-up window and the type of value to be entered varies depending on the
type of function block, e.g., a frequency value needs to be entered in a function block for
speed control.
