5.1 Item function blocks
5.1.1 Output item
5.1.1.1 DUAL-OUTPUT function block (safe outputs)
The safety-related outputs are designed as digital semiconductor outputs. Outputs “O
UT 1”
and “O
UT 2” of the function block supply a logic “1” signal when terminal point “IN” is con-
trolled to logic “1”. When input signal “I
N” is controlled to logic “0”, the outputs change to
logic “0”.

NOTE:
This block can only be used in conjunction with the PSR-M-B1 base module as well as the
PSR-M-EF4 and PSR-M-EF8 extension modules.
Each safe output pair has a corresponding “RESTART_FBK” input. This input must al-
ways be connected as specified under “RESTART_FBK”.
