4.2.6 Creating the safety logic
Once the hardware configuration has been created, the user can start on the project config-
uration.
The safety logic is created using drag and drop.
First, the desired item (or operator) is selected from the windows described earlier (all
items/operators are explained in detail in subsequent sections) and placed in the “cir-
cuit diagram”.
Next, the “Property” window is activated by selecting the item/operator. The required
functions and parameters for the item/operator can be selected here.
A numerical value can be selected using the slider. The slider can be moved with the
mouse or arrow keys on the keyboard.
The connection between items/operators is created using connecting lines by moving
the mouse over the desired inputs and outputs of the items/operators.
If the safety logic is very complex, connectors (Connector In/Out) can be used to create
a clearer circuit diagram logic.

The “Connector Out” element must have the same connection name as the
“Connector In” element of that connection.
Items/operators can be duplicated using keyboard shortcut CTRL + C / CTRL + V.
If an item/operator or a connection needs to be deleted, select it and remove it from the
configuration using the “Delete” context menu item or the “Delete” key on the keyboard.
