5.1.2.8 MODE-SELECTOR function block (mode selector switch)
The “MODE-SELECTOR” function block checks the status of the “I
N” inputs of a mode se-
lector switch with four inputs and four outputs. When only one of the inputs is at logic “1”, the
corresponding output is at logic “1”. In all other input constellations, all the outputs are at
logic “0”.

Parameters
Input Type Double switch: enables the connection of a 2-way mode selector switch
Triple switch: enables the connection of a 3-way mode selector switch
Quadruple switch: enables the connection of a 4-way mode selector switch
Filter (ms) Enables the filtering of incoming signals from the mode selector switch. The filter can be
configured with a value between 3 and 250 ms and helps suppress contact chatter. The
length of the filter time affects the calculation of the response time of the safety function.
With simultaneity /
Simultaneity (ms)
Always active (parameter cannot be deselected). Parameter for specifying the maximum
permissible switch-over time for switching the operating mode.
