5.1.2.4 LOCK FEEDBACK function block
The function block checks the status of the “I
N” inputs of a guard locking device in connec-
tion with the “GUARD LOCKING” operator. If the guard locking device is unlocked, the
“O
UT” output is set to logic “0”. Otherwise, the output is logic “1”.

Parameters
Input Type Single channel (NC): enables the connection of a 1-channel N/C contact as a guard.
Double channel (NC): enables the connection of a 2-channel N/C contact as a guard.
Double NC/NO: enables the connection of a 2-channel guard with 1 N/O contact (NO)
and 1 N/C contact (NC).
Output Test Enables the selection of clock signals that are to be connected to the switches of the mov-
able guard. These additional diagnostics enable the detection of short circuits and cross-
circuits between the cables. To activate these diagnostics, the clock signals must be con-
figured in the “Property” window of the relevant function block.
Filter (ms) This option enables external input signals to be filtered. The filter can be configured with a
value between 3 and 250 ms and helps suppress contact chatter. The length of the filter time
affects the calculation of the response time of the safety function.
With simultaneity / Simul-
taneity (ms)
This parameter is only available if the “Double NC” option is selected. In this case, the block
monitors the simultaneous switching of both input channels.
If a signal change does not occur on both input channels within the defined synchronization
time, an enable signal will not be generated at the output. The maximum time interval be-
tween the two input channels can be configured in the range from 10 ms to 7000 ms.
Enable Error Out When this parameter is selected, an output (“E
RROR”) is made available which signals that
an error has been detected by the function block.
Item Description A 24-character text description of the function or the name can be entered here. The text is
displayed above the function block.
