When the “Enable Error Out” option is selected, the function block gets an additional “E
R-
ROR” output in the circuit diagram, which signals (logic “1”) that an error has been detected
by the function block.

NOTE:
In the event of an impermissible error between two channels (plausibility violation), the
value of the first channel will still be output at the “A
NALOG” output. In this case, the “ER-
ROR” output will be set to logic “1”.
Depending on the safety level to be achieved, you can additionally link the “E
RROR” signal
for further processing of the analog value in conjunction with analog operators.

Use the “E
RROR” output depending on the safety level achieved in the circuit diagram (see
Figure 5-85 on page 130 and Figure 5-88 on page 132).

Perform a validation with subsequent test according to the connected sensors (e.g., scal-
ing).
