A more flexible approach with additional configuration possibilities is available with time
domain option R&S ZNL-K2 (see Chapter 9.7.1, "Time domain analysis", on page 294).
9.7.3 Spectrum analyzer function
Option R&S ZNLxx-B1
If the "Spectrum Analyzer" hardware option R&S ZNLxx-B1 is installed, you can use
the R&S ZNLxx to perform signal and spectrum analysis measurements. See the data
sheet and the "Spectrum Analysis" user manual for further information.

The "Spectrum Analyzer" hardware option is not available for the R&S ZNLE and
for R&S ZNL14 and R&S ZNL20 with serial numbers below 101200.
For all other R&S ZNL, it can be retrofitted at Rohde&Schwarz service.

Option R&S ZNL20-B1 supports frequencies up to 26.5 GHz.

The following additional options are only available if the R&S ZNL is equipped with
the spectrum analysis option:
– R&S FPL1-B11 "YIG preselector bypass" (R&S ZNL14|20 only)
– R&S FPL1-B40 "40 MHz Analysis Bandwidth" (keycode option; applies to spec-
trum measurements only)
– R&S FPL1-K7 "Analog Demodulation AM/FM/PM" (software license)
– R&S FPL1-K9 "Measurements with R&S NRP power sensors" (software
license)
– R&S FPL1-K30 "Noise Figure Measurements" (software license)

The following R&S FPL1 options can also be used without the spectrum analysis
option:
– R&S FPL1-B4 OCXO frequency reference
– R&S FPL1-B5 Additional interfaces
– R&S FPL1-B10 GPIB interface

– R&S FPL1-B31 Internal Li-ion batteries
