308 Noise reduction
Image smoothing is switched on and off via the Noise reduction parameter to pick out
the code clearly against the background.
Smoothing improves the reading properties, particularly if the image appears to be
affected by noise due to a high level of amplification (Brightness) or if the code back‐
ground is unstable.

Enable heartbeat
If the Enable heartbeat parameter is activated, what happens at regular intervals
(Heartbeat-Intervall) is that a signal is output via the interface. In this way, the availabil‐
ity of the sensor can be checked via the interface.
Heartbeat interval
The Heartbeat interval parameter is used to define the time between the heartbeat sig‐
nals in seconds.
