324 Serial AUX Interface
The Serial AUX Interface parameter specifies which fieldbus gateway is to be used on
the serial auxiliary interface provided by the CDM4xx connection module.
•
NONE: No connection module with a fieldbus gateway is connected.
•
PROFIBUS DP: The CMD4xx connection module is equipped with a Profibus CMF card
that acts as a gateway into the Profibus DP fieldbus system.
•
DEVICENET: The CMD4xx connection module is equipped with a DeviceNet CMF card
that acts as a gateway into the DeviceNet fieldbus system.
NOTE
To use the interface, you must move the switch on the gateway to the AUX position.
325 Serial host interface
The Serial host interface parameter specifies which fieldbus gateway is to be used on
the serial host interface provided by the CDM4xx connection module.
•
NONE: No connection module with a fieldbus gateway is connected.
•
PROFIBUS DP: The CMD4xx connection module is equipped with a Profibus CMF card
that acts as a gateway into the Profibus DP fieldbus system.
•
DEVICENET: The CMD4xx connection module is equipped with a DeviceNet CMF card
that acts as a gateway into the DeviceNet fieldbus system.
•
PROFINET IO: The device is connected to a CDM425 connection module with a PROFI‐
NET IO gateway, which integrates the reading device into the PROFINET IO Indus‐
trial Ethernet standard.
NOTE
To use the interface, you must move the switch on the gateway to the AUX position.
326 Serial Host
If the Serial Host parameter is activated, the results from the serial host interface are
written to the save destination.
327 Server / Client
The Server / Client parameter is used to select what function the sensor should per‐
form within a network.
•
SERVER: Within a network, the sensor functions as a server.
•
CLIENT: Within a network, the sensor is subordinate to a server. The server is
defined via the Server Address parameter.
328 Server Address
The Server Address parameter is used to define the IP address of the server to which
the sensor is subject within a network.
Enable heartbeat
If the Enable heartbeat parameter is activated, what happens at regular intervals
(Heartbeat-Intervall) is that a signal is output via the interface. In this way, the availabil‐
ity of the sensor can be checked via the interface.
