Agilent 5DX Service Guide 5-5
5DX Series 3 Agilent 5DX Panel Handling Configurations
Automatic Flow Through Mode
In the Automatic Flow Through Mode, the Panel Handling Subsystem
automatically handles the loading and unloading of panels, based on SMEMA
compliant signaling events. Panels are loaded in one side of the 5DX and unloaded
from the opposite side of the 5DX. The Agilent 5DX Series 3 System can be
configured as follows:
• Left-to-Right System — The left loader assembly is the input loader and the
right loader assembly is the output loader.
• Right-to-Left System — The right loader assembly is the input loader and the
left loader assembly is the output loader.
Panels can be loaded and unloaded by the following:
• Input and output conveyors located next to both the input and output outer
barriers.
• Input conveyor located next to the input side and output accumulator located
on the output side.
• Input and output accumulators located next to both the input and output outer
barriers.
There are two states available while in Automatic Flow Through Mode, as follows:
• Board Test — When Test > Automatic is selected from the 5DX User
Interface, each panel enters the 5DX System, is completely tested and passed
out the opposite end of the machine.
• Automatic Pass-through —
When Test > Automatic Pass-through is
selected from the 5DX User Interface, the panels simply travel straight through
the machine without stopping to be tested.
Manual Pass Back Mode
In the Manual Pass Back Mode, the Panel Handling Subsystem automatically
handles the loading and unloading of panels, based on commands issued by the
operator through the 5DX User Interface. Using this mode of operation, panels are
loaded into and unloaded out of the 5DX System from only one side of the
machine by the user.
127( Systems are normally shipped as Left to Right systems. See
Configuring a System for Right to Left Flow Through on page
5-6 for steps to reconfigure your 5DX.
