XYZ Stage Assembly 5DX Series 3
XYZ Stage Panel Conveyor Assemblies
All of the panel movement into and out of the 5DX System is accomplished by the
Panel Conveyor Assemblies. The Panel Conveyor Assemblies for the 5DX Series
3 System are comprised of the following components:
• XYZ Stage Panel Conveyor Rails — Provides the mounting area for the
Panel Conveyor Belts.
• XYZ Stage Panel Conveyor Motors — Drives the Panel Conveyor Belts.
• XYZ Stage Panel Conveyor Belts — Transports the panel reference points
into and out of the 5DX System.
• XYZ Stage Automatic Width Adjust Motor — Moves the adjustable XYZ
Stage Conveyor Rail to accommodate a specific panel size.
XYZ Stage Panel Conveyor Rails
There are two Panel Conveyor Rails within the XYZ Stage Assembly. The first is
the Stationary Panel Conveyor Rail, which is positioned towards the front of the
5DX System in a fixed position. The second is an Adjustable Panel Conveyor Rail,
which is positioned towards the rear of the 5DX System and is moved by the
Automatic Width Adjust Motor to accommodate the width of a panel.
Resetting the rails to the home position can be done manually by selecting User
Interface > Utilities > Panel Handling > Home Rails.
Caution Home Rail initialization requires that all panels be removed from the system
before homing the rails.
