5DX Series 3 Main Cabinet Maintenance
Inspect the Laser Camera Lights
Maintenance Frequency: Monthly
Estimated Time: Fifteen minutes
Required Items:
• Inspection mirror
• Optical Lens Brush
• Optical Lens Tissue or lens grade cotton swabs
• Isopropyl Alcohol
• #2 Phillips screwdriver
Prerequisite: None
Special Notes:
Repeat this procedure for each laser installed in the system.

WA R N I NG
Laser emissions capable of causing eye damage are present. There are no user
serviceable parts inside the Laser Assembly.
Do not attempt to repair the laser
transducer.
Do not attempt to defeat any safety interlocks.

Avoid moving the laser assembly. If the laser assembly is moved,
then a realignment will have to be performed.

Notify the System Administrator before cleaning the laser and
running
Laser Utilities. Laser confirmation and adjustment is
executed from the Confirm and Adjust menu of the User Interface
and may also be required to correct the Surface Map to Plane of
Focus correlation.
