Procedure:
To detect potential damage to the connectors or insulation without affecting
production use of the 5DX System, proceed as follows:
1. Inspect the wiring harness for pinched or damaged cables (especially at the
access panels and chassis intersections).
2. Check for positive connections at the subassemblies, (for example, check that
BNC-to-BNC connections are in the locked position). Correct any connections
that aren’t secure.
3. Check for cracked or damaged wiring insulation. If it becomes necessary to
replace a cable, follow the System Cables remove and replace procedure
outlined in the 5DX Service Quick Reference Guide.
