Main Cabinet Maintenance 5DX Series 3
Procedure:
To clean and inspect the Laser Assembly, proceed as follows:
1. Perform the Long Term Shutdown System procedure. (Do not power the
system down.)
2. Using a #2 Phillips screwdriver open one of the sliding access panels.
Note: Opening the right side main cabinet access panel will provide a better
view of the laser camera lights.
3. Select Utilities > Service Menu > Panel Handling > Hardware Control
and press Enter.
4. Select the Lights/Lasers tab.
5. Set the Laser View Camera Lights to On.
6. Verify that the Laser Camera Light is operational by looking inside the open
sliding access panel. Laser 1 is positioned on the internal beam towards the
front of the Main Cabinet. The optional Laser 2 is positioned on the internal
beam towards the rear of the Main Cabinet.
7. Toggle the Laser Camera light status in the Hardware Status and Control
window and verify that the lights turned off.
8. If either Laser Camera Light fails to operate, replace it using the Laser Camera
Light remove and replace procedure outlined in the 5DX Service Quick
Reference Guide.
9. Close the access panel and restore X-ray power.
10. To verify laser assembly operation:
a. From the User Interface, select Utilities and press Enter.
b. Select Service and press Enter.
c. Select Measurement Subsystem and press Enter.
d. Select Laser(s) and press Enter.
11. If either Laser Camera Light fails to operate, see the Laser Light Camera
remove and replace procedure in the 5DX Service Quick Reference Guide.
12. If the Laser Camera Lights operate, close the access panel and return the
system to normal operation.
