5DX Series 3 Introduction
Maintenance Activity Conventions
The procedures presented in this chapter will contain the following information:
Title: this is the name for the procedure.
Maintenance Frequency: This only applies to preventive maintenance (PM)
procedures. The recommended length of time between one PM activity and the
next. For example, if the Workstation Cleaning PM was performed on the 15th of
June, the next Workstation Cleaning PM should be on the 15th of July. The
Maintenance Frequency can be on a month by month, twice a year, or once a year
schedule.
Estimated Time: This is only an estimate of the amount of time for a trained
technician to perform the procedure. Please note that these times are only
estimates. The actual procedure may vary depending on local situations and
conditions.
Required Items: A listing of the tools or items required to perform the required
procedure.
Prerequisite: Tasks that need to be performed prior to performing the procedure.
Special Notes: Any addition information.
Information: Helpful information will be placed here, as well as, where to look
for related information.
Procedure: The steps required to perform the specified periodic maintenance
procedure.
