5DX Series 3 Power Distribution Unit
A brief discussion of the PDU and how it relates to the 5DX System is provided.
For additional information on the E1135C Power Distribution Unit, refer to the
manual for it (E1135-90001).
Input Specifications
The Power Distribution Unit (PDU) is designed to accept world wide input power.
The power options available for the 5DX System are shown in Table 4-1 and
Table 4-2 on page 4-11.
Switched Output Terminals
Switched power is provided at the PDU output connector block and supplied to the
5DX System. All equipment connected to the switched outputs is controlled with
the PDU On/Off Switch located on the front of the PDU at the rear of the
Electronics Bay as shown in Figure 4-2.
The switched outputs are connected to eight auxiliary outlets at the rear of the
PDU as shown in Figure 4-3 for the E1135C. A switched output is also to the
cable coming from the front right wire egress on the front of the PDU. The
auxiliary outlets are numbered. The following components pug into the respective
auxiliary outlet as follows:
• Outlet 1 — Laser Displacement Sensor #2 (optional for 2nd laser, rear)
• Outlet 2 — Laser Displacement Sensor #1
• Outlet 3 —
• Outlet 4 —
• Outlet 5 — X motor Servo Module
• Outlet 6 — R motor Servo Module
• Outlet 7 — Y1 motor Servo Module
• Outlet 8 — Y2 motor Servo Module
Note that 220 volts ac goes directly to the Servo Modules. The modules are
interchangeable (except for software loaded on them) and have a fuse within the
AC receptacle.
