5DX Series 3 X-ray Cabinet and Barriers
Inner Cabinet and Inner Barrier
The inner cabinet contains X-radiation by the use of the inner barrier. The inner
barrier prevents X-ray leakage while loading a panel. Before the inner barrier
opens, the outer barrier is closed. The inner barrier opens to allow the panel to be
inspected. The inner and outer barriers do not open simultaneously. If the inner and
outer barriers are opened at the same time, the Safety Interlock chain will be
opened and X-rays, Laser, and Servo Module components will be disabled. In
Figure 5-7, the cross-hatched area is the portion of the Main Cabinet defined as
the inner cabinet area. The inner barrier is in the closed position.
