Safety Interlock Controller 5DX Series 3
Normal Operation LEDs
• DC Power — When +12 volts dc is present, this green LED will be lit.
• Chain 1 — When the +12 volts dc safety interlocks on Chain 1 are closed, this
green LED is lit.
• Chain 2 — When the +24 volts dc safety interlocks on Chain 2 are closed, this
green LED is lit.
• Enable On — After the X-ray Control Key is turned to the Enable position, and
after the X-ray Control On Button has been depressed, this green LED will
light At this point all of the safety interlocks are closed and the X-ray High

Diagnostic LEDs
The Diagnostic LEDs are used in finding an open safety interlock. This condition
is indicated by the unlit Interlocks Closed Laser On indicator.
To activate the diagnostic LEDs, the Service Switch needs to be put into the
Service position. When the Service Switch is set to the Service position, there is no
power to all of the other relays or the Operator Control Console. The Safety
Interlocks Closed Laser On indicator on the Operator Control Console will not
function at this time.
The appropriate LED(s) on the Safety Interlock Controller will light to indicate
that there is an open safety interlock in a particular loop.
