Image Acquisition Process
The image that was generated during the Image Generation Process needs to be
captured for analysis. There are many things happening simultaneously during the
acquisition of an image. For example, the Interface Card is holding the External
Trigger Pulse active, while the X-ray Image Camera is sending digital information
to the Frame Grabber, and, at the same time, the System Controller is waiting for
the End of Cycle Signal to start analyzing the image.
Image Acquisition Theory of Operation
The interaction of the Imaging Subsystem components during Image Acquisition
is shown in Figure 8-3.
