5DX Series 3 Image Generation Process
The X-rays pass through the panel under test and hit the Scintillator, which is
moving 180º out-of-phase from the Electron Beam. The components of the panel
under test do not allow X-rays to pass equally. For example, the solder joints are
comprised of lead which effectively blocks X-rays, resulting in a darker image,
where as, the substrate of the panel allows most the X-rays to pass resulting in a
lighter image. The Scintillator converts the X-rays into visible light generating the
image of the panel.
