PDU Circuit Breakers and Fuses
The PDU input terminal block has fused terminals. There are two input terminals
fused at 0.5 amperes at 250 volts ac that provide protection and power to the
control circuitry of the PDU. There are two additional input terminals fused at 10
amperes at 250 volts ac that provide protection and unswitched power to the 5DX
System.
The PDU has ten resetable 15 ampere thermal circuit breakers located on the front
of the PDU that provide protection to the switched outputs. If an overload should
occur the circuit breaker button extends and a white bar is visible indicating that
the circuit breaker has tripped.
WA R N I NG High voltages present inside of the Power Distribution Unit. All four of the
fused terminals have line voltage present whenever the AC “Mains” Power
external circuit breaker is on, even if the PDU is turned off.
Caution Use care when replacing the Power Distribution Unit fuses. The threads are fine
and can be easily cross threaded.
Caution When replacing these fuses use only the same type fuses with the same current
rating.
Caution The circuit breakers are not switches. Any attempt to force open the circuit
breakers will result in permanent damage to the circuit breaker.
