5DX Series 3 Low Voltage Assembly
Low Voltage Assembly
The Low Voltage Power Supply assembly contains three power supplies, +12 volts
dc, +24 volts dc and +48 volts dc. The Low Voltage Power Supply assembly is an
integrated Power One power supply and has no external fuses and no user
serviceable parts. If it fails, the whole supply needs to be replaced.
+12 Volts DC Power Supply
The +12 volt dc power supply is rated at 20 amperes maximum. This power supply
provides dc power to the Digital I/O Assembly and provides the +12 volts dc for
Chain 1 of the Safety Interlock Subsystem. It also supplies 12 volts dc to the
Motion Control Assembly.
+24 Volts DC Power Supply
The +24 volt dc power supply is rated at 29 amperes maximum and is fused
with a 3 ampere fuse. This power supply provides dc power to the Digital I/O
Assembly.
+48 Volts DC Power Supply
The +48 volt dc power supply is rated at 12.5 amperes maximum. This power
supply provides dc power to the motion control assembly.
Focus Coil Power Supply
The Focus Coil Power Supply is an Agilent E3615. This power supply is capable
of delivering +20 volts dc at 3 amperes maximum. The Focus Coil Power Supply
is used in a constant current mode to power the Focus Coils in the X-ray Tube
Assembly.
