Manual Flow Through Mode
In the Manual Flow Through Mode, the Panel Handling Subsystem automatically
handles the loading and unloading of panels, based on commands issued by the
operator through the 5DX User Interface. Using this mode of operation, panels are
loaded into the 5DX System from one side of the machine by the user and
unloaded out the opposite side of the 5DX System where the user must remove the
panel.
Configuring a System for Right to Left Flow Through
The procedure to reconfigure a system for right to left flow through is available in
the 5DX Service Quick Reference Guide. To access the procedure, select
Procedures > Adjustment > Configure for Right to Left Flow Through.
Dual Panel Test Mode
The Dual Panel Test Mode is only available when the Dual Panel Test option is
installed. This option adds a middle rail to the system which provides the ability to
load and unload two panels at a time. With the middle rail installed, the 5DX can
be configured to load a single panel or dual panels. For additional information

Introduction
The Surface Mount Equipment Manufacturers Association (SMEMA) developed a
set of standards to interface equipment used in the manufacturing of printed circuit
assemblies. The 5DX is SMEMA compliant. This means that the 5DX uses the
signal and connections standards for communicating and connecting to upstream
equipment and downstream equipment.
