5DX Series 3 Main Cabinet Maintenance
Clean and Inspect the Main Cabinet
Maintenance Frequency: Monthly
Estimated Time: Ten minutes
Required Items:
• Vacuum Cleaner
• Clean, lint-free and non-abrasive cleaning wipes
• #2 Phillips screwdriver
Prerequisite:
• Shutdown the 5DX System. Follow the Long Term Shutdown For the
Agilent 5DX System procedure in Chapter 4, Power Subsystem to ensure
you shut it down correctly.
• Perform Lock-Out, Tag-Out procedure. See page 4-4 of Chapter 4, Power
Subsystem for more information.

Procedure:
1. Open up all of the Main Cabinet access panels.
2. Vacuum the interior of the Main Cabinet.
3. Use wipes to clean up excess grease on the XYZ Stage Assembly and on the
interior of the Main Cabinet.
