Main Cabinet Maintenance 5DX Series 3
Procedure:
1. select Utilities > Panel Handling > Home Rails from the 5DX menu and
press Enter.
1. Select Manual Load and press Enter.
2. Press Enter to accept the default value of 12000 for the panel width.
3. Open the access panels on the top of the Main Cabinet.
4. Measure the width between the stationary rail and the adjustable rail near the
left outer barrier. Position the caliper on the conveyor belts and against the
rails. The measured width of the rails should be 12.020 inches (+0.010 inches,
-0).
5. Repeat Step 4 for the width between the rails near the right outer barrier.
6. If the measurements are not within the specifications, then the following
software adjustments are required.
a. Click on the Start button on the task bar. Highlight Programs, then click
on Command Prompt. This will open an MS-DOS Command Prompt
window.
b. Type CA and press Enter.
c. Type VS MACHINE.CFG and press Enter.
d. Find the following line to adjust the width of the Main Cabinet rails:
@Mach_MainHomeWidth = {value}
e. Press Alt W to write the file, saving the changes that were made.
f. Press Alt X to exit the editor.
g. Type EXIT to close the MS-DOS Command Prompt and type auto to return
to the User Interface.
7. Repeat this procedure until the measurements are within the specifications.
127( An increase in {value} will decrease the width between the rails, and
a decrease in {value} will increase the width between the rails.
