5DX Series 3 Image Acquisition Process

A graphical representation of Image Acquisition is shown in Figure 8-4. Before an
image can be acquired, the System Controller arms the Frame Grabbers, refer to
the timing diagram shown in Figure 8-4. The Frame Grabbers are then ready to
start accepting image data from the X-ray Image Camera.
The System Controller then sends a signal to the Interface Card to begin a Frame
Acquisition Cycle. The Interface Card activates the External Trigger Pulse
allowing the X-ray Image Camera to gather an image. The image data gathered by
the X-ray Image Camera is sent to the Frame Grabbers.
