Motion Control Assembly 5DX Series 3
Motor Relay Control Diagnostic LEDs
• Power LEDs (MRC, Stepper) - Illuminate when the component is receiving
or generating the correct power.
• Interlock LEDs (#1, #2) - Illuminate when the safety interlock is broken. This
should be accompanied by an error on the computer monitor identifying which
Safety Interlock, possible causes, and steps for resolution.
• Servo Power LED - Illuminate when an error is detected with power on one of
the Servo Modules. This should be accompanied by an error on the computer
monitor identifying which Servo Module and possible causes.
• Controller Fault LED - Illuminates when communication with the 5DX Main
Controller or Motion Controllers fails or is intentionally disabled. For
example, this will illuminate when the controller or the expansion chassis is
powered down.
• Controller Abort LED - Illuminates when the Motion Controller PCI 1 is in
an abort state because the inner barrier opened unexpectedly.
• Servo Fault LED - Illuminates when a Servo Module is in a fault condition.
This should be accompanied by an error on the computer monitor identifying
which Servo Module and possible causes.
• Motion Enabled LED - Illuminates when the relay for the Motion Enable
Circuit is closed indicating an enabled state. The Motion Enable Circuit
monitors the outer barriers, so each time an outer barrier is opened, this LED
should turn off.
• Disable LEDs (X, Y1, Y2, R) - Illuminate when the Servo Modules are in a
disabled state. These will illuminate when one of the red fault LEDs is on
indicating an unexpected event or an open outer barrier.
• Enabled LEDs (Z, AWA) - Illuminate when the Z-axis Stepper Driver and the
AWA Stepper Driver are enabled. These will turn off when one of the red fault
LEDs is on indicating an unexpected event or an open outer barrier.
• MRC Ready LED - Illuminates when the Motor Relay Control is in a ready
state indicating that it is functioning and not reporting any faults.
• Relays Closed LED - Illuminates when all the relays monitored by the Motor
Relay Control are closed indicating a status normal state.
