5. Troubleshooting
Code 7694: “Rod in temp open” (Error)
Situation Solution
The wire unit of the temperature
sensor ( NTC ) of the c ooling block of
the Light Pipe is disconnected from
the P ower Distribution b oard.
Check if the wire unit (reference 16 ) of the temperature sens or of the cooling block of
the Light Pipe is connected with the Power Distribution board.
Damaged wire unit of the
temperature sensor (reference
16 and ).
Repair or replace the wire unit.
Defect temperature sensor
(reference 16 image 5-31) which
measures the temperature at the
entrance of the Light P ipe.
Replace the temperature sensor mounted on the cooling block of the Light Pipe
(reference 16image 5-31).
Code 7695: “Rod in temp short” (Error)
Situation Solution
Damaged wire unit of the
temperature sensor (reference
16 image 5-31 and image 5-32).
Repair or replace the wire unit.
Defect temperature sensor
(reference 16 image 5-31) which
measures the temperature at the
entrance of the light pipe.
Replace the temperature sensor mounted on the cooling block of the Light Pipe
(reference 16image 5-31).
Code 7696: “Power supply secondary temp low” (Error)
This error code is probably preceded by th e warning code 7697: “Power supply secondary temp low”. The same troubleshooting
table can be applied to.
Code 7697: “Power supply secondary temp low” (Warning)
Situation Solution
The ambient temperature in the
area of secondary side of the
SMPS is almost below the m inimum
required operating temperature of
the projector.
Make sure that the ambient tem perature is within specs: higher then 10°C (50°F). Let
the projector acclim ate. Do not ignite the lamp, otherwise there is a risk for condensate.
Defect temperature sensor
(reference 1 image 5-31) which
measures the temperature at the
secondary side of the SMPS.
Replace the temperature sensor mounted on the heatsink of the secondary side of the
SMPS (reference 1 image 5-31).

Code 7698: “Power supply secondary temp high” (Warning)
Situation Solution
Blocked air inlet channel. Ensure that the air inlet at the front bottom of the projector is not blocked. Prov ide a
sufficient free area at the front o f the projec tor so that fresh air can freely enter the air
inlet channel.
