10.16.1 Connecting Hormann drives with A455 and B455 control units
To connect to A455 or B455 gate control unit, you need to switch the controller to the third-party
gate controller handling mode according to the logic defined in the Control Program.

The toggle selects the normal state of the control STOP button. ON normally closed,
OFF normally open. For the wiring diagram of the control panel, refer to Sec. 10.5 Connecting the
gate control panel.
The toggle selects the configuration of vehicle presence sensors. ON only one (the central) is
connected, OFF all three are connected (at the entrance, in the center and at the exit). For the
wiring diagram of vehicle presence sensors, refer to Sec. 10.6 Connecting vehicle presence sensors.
The drive is to be configured according to its instruction, by selecting value 04 (the key function
with after stopping when moving in both directions) of the item 16 in the
program menu (control reaction).
To do this, open the control system chassis, press the programming button switch and hold it down
for 3 seconds until the display shows 00.
Using "Up" or "Down" keys, select the menu item and push STOP button.
The display will show the value of the selected menu item (00 by default). Using "Up" or "Down"
keys, select value 04 and push STOP button. After that, the display will show the number of the
previously selected menu item (16).
Also, if you disconnect from the drive the safety devices connected to X20, X21, and X22 sockets
(and this must be done see the note in the box below), do not forget to program menu items 12,
13, and 14 back to value 00 (no safety element).
To exit the programming mode, press the programming button switch and hold it down for 3
seconds until the display shows the gate position indication in form of indexing lines.
