EMF of self-induction that a
circuit can reach several hundred volts.
If there is no protective diode, an erosion of relay contacts occurs due to sparking
and it leads to a relay failure. And the use of a shared PSU for both the lock and the
controller will cause controller malfunctioning due to high voltage interference in
power supply lines.

8.3.3 Connecting other types of locks
Other types of locks, e.g. those having separate inputs for Open/Close control, can also be
connected to the controller since two independent relays are used to control each lock. These
relays can work both in the potential and the pulse mode.
8.3.4 Example of connecting the lock with the separate control input
To work with SL-130 lock, the controller should be switched pulse control mode (for
the first door toggle of CONF1 dip-unit to be set in ON position, for the second door toggle
dip-unit to be set in ON position).
