Limit switches are mandatory when working with control units having only two control lines
(START and STOP). In this case, the controller has to obtain information about gate wing
whereabouts, otherwise its correct operation is not possible.
In case of three control lines (OPEN, CLOSE, and STOP), you can either use or abandon limit
switches.
The normal state of the limit switch is when the gate wing is in the neutral position. I.e., if the
sensor opens while the gate wing is in an intermediate position, its normal state is open.
11.9.4 Working with readers
In Gate configuration you can use up to three readers.
When using a central reader, it is required to connect two sensors at both sides of the gate, as they
will be used by the system to determine the passage direction of the vehicle. The vehicle passage
direction, when using a central reader is determined by the activity of the sensors from both sides
of the gate.
When you use two readers at both sides of the gate, the vehicle passage direction is determined by
the reader, which has transmitted the read electronic key code.
11.9.5 Working with manual gate control
The manual control panel is equipped with two buttons: START and STOP. The START button is
normally open, the STOP button is normally closed or normally open (the state is selected by dip-
toggle 5 on CONF1).
The controller responds to pressing START button as follows:
1. If the gate is closed, then it starts moving the gate wings in the opening direction.
2. If the gate is open and all connected vehicle presence sensors are inactive, it starts
moving the gate wings in the closing direction.
3. If the gate is closing, it starts the backward movement in the opening direction.
4. If the gate is opening and all connected vehicle presence sensors are inactive, it starts
moving the gate in the closing direction.
The controller responds to pressing STOP button as follows: it stops the drive for the time of
holding down the button.
You can also use START and STOP buttons to allow or deny passage of vehicles, which have been
assigned a mode with the enabled function Require guard approval.
11.9.6 Working with remote keys
If a radio receiver is used in your system, a special remote key can be given to security staff. The
button on this remote key dubs the function of the START button on the manual control panel. The
code for a security remote key can be defined in the controller settings, see "User's Manual" for the
system.
