7-5 show arpentry
Description
This command is used to display the Address Resolution Protocol (ARP) table. Filter the display by IP
address, interface name, or static entries.
Format
show arpentry {ipif <ipif_name 12> | ipaddress <ipaddr> | static | mac_address <macaddr>}
Parameters
ipif - The name of the IP interface the end node or station for which the ARP table entry was made,
resides on.
<ipif_name 12> - Specify the IP interface name. The maximum length is 12 characters.
ipaddress - The IP address of the end node or station.
<ipaddr> - Specify the IP address.
static - Displays the static entries to the ARP table.
mac_address - Displays the ARP entry by MAC address.
<macaddr> - Specify the MAC address.
Note: If no parameter is specified, all ARP entries will be displayed.
Restrictions
None.
Example
To display the ARP table:
DGS-3420-28SC:admin# show arpentry
Command: show arpentry
ARP Aging Time : 20
Interface IP Address MAC Address Type
------------- --------------- ----------------- ---------------
System 10.0.0.0 FF-FF-FF-FF-FF-FF Local/Broadcast
System 10.90.90.90 00-01-02-03-04-00 Local
System 10.255.255.255 FF-FF-FF-FF-FF-FF Local/Broadcast
