5.4.4 Embedded PC
The Embedded PC of the Drive Recorder contains the operating system and the
application software for control and data recording.
Solid state memory (internal)
The operating system and the application software are stored on the internal solid
state memory (SSD).
Board controller
The board controller controls and monitors the Wake-Up function of the module,
the control and display elements as well as the digital inputs and outputs.
5.4.5 Replaceable Memory Module (Optional)
The Drive Recorder ES820.1 records the measured data on a replaceable SSD
memory module. The memory module can also be used to transfer the measure
-
ment configurations to the Drive Recorder. The memory module is integrated in a
slot on the front of the ES820.1 and can be removed and replaced without the need
for tools (see chapter
13.7 on page 123).
Advantages
- Simple transfer of recorded measured data
- Short vehicle downtimes thanks to replacement of memory modules
- Recorded measured data can be read on a PC with an external adapter with-
out a Drive Recorder
NOTE
The AC800MM1-DS external docking station (see chapter 18.3 on page 223) can
be ordered to enable the data from the replaceable SSD memory module to be
read on a PC.
