2. Attach the CO
2
sensor unit to the patient according to the manufacturer’s
instructions:
Position the sensor cable behind the ears (Fig. 6-24, item 1) and slide the
fastening ring (Fig. 6-24, item 2) loosely towards the chin.
Attach the disposable adapter to the nose with the adhesive tape
provided for this purpose (Fig. 6-24, item 3).
The oral breath collector (Fig. 6-24, item 4) must not be more than 10 mm
away from the lower lip.
