The Standby window (Figure 12-3) opens. During Standby,
the window shows the elapsed time since you began this
mode. Automatic controls resume their default settings (see
Appendices describing automatic adjustments).

To stop standby and resume ventilation, change the patient set
up if desired, then select
Start . Ventilation will then resume
with the current settings.
