F.5.1 Performing an SpHb spot check
To get an SpHb value measurement,
1. Open the
Tools -> Spot Check window. See Figure F-4.
2. Select the
Spot Check button.
The sensor measures SpHb and the system calculates SpOC.
When the values are updated, the Status area indicates
your remaining Free Retry time available. The system also
updates the Remaining Checks total.
You can select
Spot Check again one or more times during
the Free Retry period and not have it count against the total
remaining checks available.
3. Close the window when done.

Status area display Description
Status area is clear The system is available for taking
measurements.
Progress bar The system is in the process of
measuring SpHb and calculating
SpOC.
Free Retry countdown The system has updated the SpHb
and SpOC values.
You can select
Spot Check again
one or more times during the Free
Retry period and not have it count
against the total Remaining Checks.
