System Operation
State Meaning Occurrence
Ready The system is
ready to
perform assay
processing.
The system is in this state after
all tasks have been completed in
preparation for processing
samples.
Maintenance The system is
performing
semi-
automated or
automated
maintenance
operation. The
operator cannot
perform waste
or fluid-related
tasks while they
system is in this
state.
The system is in this state as
maintenance tasks are being
performed.
Assay
Processing
The system is
processing
samples. The
operator cannot
perform waste
or fluid related
tasks while the
system is
system is in this
state.
The system is in this state when
samples are processing. This
mode continues through
specimen pipetting, assay
processing, and results
processing.
Power Save The system is
in reduced
power mode.
The operator
continues to
have access to
data while in
this state.
The system enters this state
through the Logoff/Shutdown
screen or according to Power
Save configuration settings. Exit
this state through the
Logoff/Shutdown screen, via
Power Save configuration
settings, or by loading or
removing a Reagent Rack.
