Review the sanitization policies and guidelines in this guide before sanitizing a HPE Persistent Memory module.
ProcedureProcedure
1. From the System Utilities screen, select System ConfigurationSystem Configuration > BIOS/Platform Configuration (RBSU)BIOS/Platform Configuration (RBSU) > Memory OptionsMemory Options >
Persistent Memory OptionsPersistent Memory Options > PMM OptionsPMM Options > Sanitize OptionsSanitize Options, and select the following:
Sanitize/Erase Operation on RebootSanitize/Erase Operation on Reboot :
No Action
Cryptographic Erase
Overwrite Media
Cryptographic Erase and Overwrite Media
Policy after Sanitize/Erase Operation on RebootPolicy after Sanitize/Erase Operation on Reboot :
Sanitize/Erase and Reboot System
Sanitize/Erase and Power System Off
Sanitize/Erase and Reboot to System Utilities
Sanitize/Erase to Factory Defaults and Power System Off
2. Enable the Perform Sanitize/Erase Operation onPerform Sanitize/Erase Operation on selection.
3. Select the HPE Persistent Memory modules to sanitize:
All PMMs in the System—Sanitizes all HPE Persistent Memory modules in the server.
All PMMs on Processor X—Sanitizes all HPE Persistent Memory modules on the specified processor.
Processor X DIMM Y—Sanitizes only the specified HPE Persistent Memory module on the processor.
4. To save your changes and exit, press the F12F12 key.
5. If required, reboot the server.
