Changing the default Fibre Channel/FCoE scanning policyChanging the default Fibre Channel/FCoE scanning policy
PrerequisitePrerequisite
Boot Mode is set to UEFI Mode.
Use the Fibre Channel/FCoE Scan Policy option to change the default policy for scanning for valid FC/FCoE (or boot from SAN) boot
targets. By default, each installed FC/FCoE adapter only scans targets that are preconfigured in the device settings. For Fibre Channel
controllers in PCIe slots, this setting is overridden by the PCIe Storage Boot Policy setting.
NOTE:NOTE:
Supported in UEFI mode only.
ProcedureProcedure
1. From the System Utilities screen, select System Configuration > BIOS/Platform Configuration (RBSU) > Storage Options > Fibre
Channel/FCoE Scan Policy.
2. Select a setting.
Scan All Targets—Each installed FC/FCoE adapter scans all available targets.
Scan Configured Targets Only —Each installed FC/FCoE adapter only scans targets that are preconfigured in the device
settings. This setting overrides any individual device settings configured in the device-specific setup.
3. Save your setting.
