Step 4 Take out the network cable, cut off one end of the cable, and connect pins 6 and 7 to the NO
and COM ports on the exit button.
The exit button is connected to the access actuator by a network cable.
Step 5 Route the cable through the cable hole.
Step 6 Reinstall the exit button and the cover.

16.9 (Optional) Installing an In-Room Emergency Door
Release Button
Context

The BOM number of an emergency door release button is 02070053.

It is recommended that the device be installed outside a room 1.6 m above the floor.
Procedure
Step 1 Remove the emergency door release button.

1. Remove screws from the emergency door release button using a Phillips screwdriver, as
shown by (1) in Figure 16-25.
2. Remove the glass panel of the emergency door release button, as shown by (2) and (3) in
Figure 16-25.
3. Remove screws from the base, and remove the base, as shown by (4) in Figure 16-25.
Step 2 Mark the mounting holes using a marker and the base.
